Frillies Loves...Garden Delights

Gardens are wonderful places and spaces, for the summer months I always include them as another room in the house, whether that is to relax and unwind or entertain guests.  Below boards are garden by day and garden twilight created from my Pinterest board Garden Delights

Booty

This morning I rose early to go to a local car boot.  Now i have been promising myself I'd go for weeks now so I pushed myself to rise at 7am and get myself down there. I am so glad I went.

I love the idea of having a dinner service all un-matching, but each piece is beautiful and chosen because it is as individual as the next

Next I found the most gorgeous glass cake plates, I am very excited to bake and present me delights on these.  They are both transfer printed, the first print is like lace doilies and the 2nd is a real 60's pattern with gilt on the edges.

I also came across a vintage vanity case by Antler it was an absolute steal and comes with the keys for the lock too (the man said it was rare, but I bartered him down hard!).

In the afternoon I did a spot of gardening, I am still new to this mowing the lawn business and accidently chopped a plant up, the flowers are so pretty I couldn't resist getting a pic in

Garden In July

Well after a few weeks of last blogging about the garden I am sure you will notice from these pictures how much it is coming along. After noticing that the bees are less around we decided to plant lots of flowers that really attract them. amongst those below we have also planted a lupin, delphinium and thanks to mum and dad stacks of fox gloves. When they have flourished more I will post them up. Gardening is so much fun watching something small grow into something so beautiful.
I have also managed to get some close-ups of some butterflies, enjoy!

Save the bees!

Bunting bbq

We had our first BBQ with guests last night. Although our garden couldn't be pretty enough with lots of flowers, I decided to make some bunting to girly it up a bit. I bought the fabric from a little market near my work and strung the flags with bias binding. Simple yet effective!

I also lit our garden up as night fell with candles in jam jars. I wrapped wire around the top so I can hang them up too.

Gorgeous Garden

Tommy and myself are very pleased to announce our new room to the house...

Our gorgeous garden.

Its all potted as we are in renting for now, but after the lovely weather it has been so relaxing just to sit in it, eat, read and enjoy our plants. My parents have the greenest fingers and only now have I really started to appreciate plants. As my Mum always said, there is nothing like watching something you've planted grow and flourish. At the moment our flowers are quite suited to the spring. But we have planted to keep it changing throughout the year. Watch this space *save the bees*

p.s no tenants in the bird house yet, but we are keeping our fingers crossed but it may be a little late until next year
