Instagram update and new shop items

This week I've been playing round with photos on Instagram, mixing it with a font app creates another dimention.

Dr darling and myself had an at home 'date' where we made something nice to eat and sat in our conservatory. It's starting to get warmer now (only just) so we are making use of our seasonal room! It wasn't quite dark enough but I really fancied lighting some candles- well you've got to create a bit of ambience haven't you!?

FFF's shop has a few more bits in it a vintage frilly robe, so me! Perfect for the lazy weekends of comfort and still looking glamourous, would be perfect teamed with a fluffy white kitty cat!

A welsh tapestry purse, this is in great condition with 2 roomy compartments.

Here's a little sneak preview-I also picked this up on my stock hunt, a Fornasetti plate. This was so hard to photograph because the glaze is so uber shiny! The colours are truly fabulous, a really rich beetroot pink teamed with gold. The Italians do it well non?!

Monday OVER!- Etsy Listings

I don't know about anyone else but that Monday was hard, after a couple of bank holiday days off getting back into the swing of things was proving tricky today.  Especially since I feel like I am getting the lergi that everyone in the office seems to of had. Serves me right really me being smug saying I've got the immune system of (something very strong?) the Queen... Ha!

Anyway to cheer you all up I have put up some more listings on my vintage Etsy shop, harah!! I hear you cry. Well, here goes!

For all those who love spending time in the kitchen cooking, baking and looking gorgeous here's a lovely little lemon pinny

Would look lovely on a little vintage hospital style bed, this cotton embroidered pillowcase is finished off with scollop edging.

1970s glossy stoneware vase made in Germany

A piece of kitchen kit to be proud off, this Royal Doulton dish would make many a great casserole, lasagne alike

Pretty in pink gold coloured brooch

Celery, knitting needles or wooden spoons this gorgeous illustrated pot is made from tough stuff stoneware

I love this trio they sit all proud together and nearly didn't list them as quite fancy them myself.  I adore willow pattern but its mostly found on tea cups, which lets face it, unless teamed with a tea pot is never enough tea! So here we have willow patterned mugs, with a surprise on the handles, all trimmed up with a shiny gold stripe-wonderful

So enough of the 'Generation Game' style selling, hope you all like!

Made In England-Vintage Swimsuit And Singer Sewing Machine

There's nothing more wonderful than seeing a 'Made In England' tag on something you are looking to purchase or have in your collection of lovely things. The fact that it has been locally made by an age old skill is something that makes you feel proud of where you're from.

I was given an old Singer sewing machine from the 70's by the boys bandmate (Rise Up The Sun) gave me, it works which was a wonderful surprise.  The build of this thing is amazing, the attention to detail all the things that companies have stripped off everyday products these days.

So something I've been working on recently is stocking my Etsy shop up again, something I want to really get into again. So I went for a bit of a thift on Saturday morning and came across this delightful St Michaels 60's swimsuit which not only is in beautiful condition with lovely bright jacquard flowers but has the 'made in England' label in.  The fit is really nice with a scooped back and built in bra cups, low on the leg that gives that true 60's silhouette.  This is available now and here's the link.

All this old Made in England business really got me in the mood to bake a humble Earl Grey tea loaf for some friends that came round. Yum Yum!
